Yea   My new sewing machine motor and foot pedal arrived a couple hours ago. So I set to work on my mother's old sewing machine, got it working and actually sewed a sample on it! I even re-wired a new plug for the light! For those of you following the "old Singer" thread my machine was made in 1936 and I learned to sew on it. My mother used to close up the cabinet with the cord still attached to the machine, caused a short in the wire and thus burned out the copper windings in the motor. As far as I am concerned it was well worth the nearly $100 it cost me. I am in heaven. Now to get to work on a freebie very similar to this one I picked up on the side of the road a few years ago.

Yeah, Congratulations. I will be trying some work on one soon to see if it runs instead of throwing sparks....

I look forward to see what you make on it!
