I think you missed your calling, You should be a writer. Great with words that take you right into the heart of the story. You caught my attention all the way through this story. What great memories you have of your Grandmother.

How wonderful for you to share with us those wonderful words. I did not have a grandmother, she died long before I was born, but I did have an elderly neighborhood woman who taught me to knit! I have knitted many beautiful gifts for those I love and truly realize what a wonderful gift my neighbor gave me when she taught me to knit. I now teach all my grandchildren to knit, crochet, or quilt. My youngest daughter is, as we speak, quilting upstairs her college senior thesis project. I just wanted to leave them something lasting that would cause them to think of me when I am no longer here.

What a wonderful story, I too think that you need to write a book or submit your quilt writings to a quilt magazine.

If you decide to quit quilting, take up writing. Your story brought back many memories. Thank you

You need to write that all down in a journal and finish the story for future generations. That is so neat.
