connecting threads "seconds"
#51
I also ordered seconds from Connecting Threads at their very low cost to use as backing. The flaw per the Connectin Threads description was that the fabric arrived from the factory with the design printed crooked.
I couldn't find the flaw with the several yards of different seconds arrived, and was totally satisfied with the quality of the fabric.
So, I will certainly go with purchasing their seconds again.
Their thread is good also.

I ordered some, just out of curiosity, and when it arrived, I unfolded each fabric - didn't find any visible faults in any of it. I used my handy-dandy thread counter (R.O.S.E.) and found it amazingly regular in weave. No complaints here. I wouldn't hesitate for a minute using it for a quilt backing, or even using it to cut patchwork pieces. I'm still wondering why it's labeled "seconds".

Have ordered from Connecting Threads and never noticed the 2nd material tab. Well I'm glad I was on the board today, well maybe not as there are some really good deals. I like their fabric and have always been satisfied. Need to try their threads. Thanks for the info!

Have purchased from Connecting Threads for years and didn't know they sold seconds. Must pay closer attention when shopping from now on. Will be ordering some to try out. Bet they just love all of the free advertising and business they are getting from here.

usually its a misprint somewhere, or lack of color streaked in it...some worse than others. when cutting out blocks, you can always work around them! open it up to check it out. i've used them in quilts and they work fine for me.
