I've used the cotton on a Gammill. The first time the thread kept snapping, but I suspect that was to do with the quilt itself - a flannel confetti with 2 1/2" squares. The second time it was fine. I would certainly use it again if I had some (they don't ship here).

I am odd man out. I bought a cone and while it worked fine (as in no breakage or tension problems) I couldn't stand the look of the stuff once used in the quilt, especially when compared to the beautiful threads that are out there. Life is too short to use ugly thread! LOL. All kidding aside, with all the time and effort, not to mention cost, of making a beautiful quilt top, why cheap out at the end by quilting it with thread that doesn't delight you just as much as the fabric? There are sooooo many other threads I prefer over it at comparable prices. I have also used their cotton. Again, while it works fine, I won't go out of my way to use it. In fact I will only use it if I need a very specific color that I don't have in one of my other threads and don't have time to order it in.

I have their entire collection of threads in both polyester and cottons. I love them though the cotton threads do produce a bunch of lint. The polyester does not produce as much and its very strong. I rarely ever have a thread break in fact almost never and I have my top tension fairly tight. I have an Innova with a robotic system (MQR) and quilt at a 500 rpm speed, 12 stitches per inch though my robotics sets the speed most likely. I love their prices and would have jumped on their latest sale but I have more than enough threads now as I try to keep 3 spools of their 1,200 colors at all times. When I know they're going to discontinue a color I know I'll use a bunch I stock up with at least 5-7 spools. I guess that shows just how much I like their threads. I also use Auriful but their prices are a bit high for me.

I use the Essential thread on my domestic machine when free motion quilting. Once in awhile it does break and it is linty. But for the price I'll put up with it and use up what I have. I do like Signature thread and will start to switch over to that.

I have had a problem with the 70 weight pro thread for my top thread. The 40 to 50 weights is better for my long arm then the lighter thread.

I'm in a Yahoo group for longarmers. They say it works great. I personally have not used it.

I use it all the time on my HQ16 and it does great.

I agree! I have a lot of CT cotton and poly but there are other threads that are more beautiful and better quality for quilting.
