Converting a HQ Sixteen into a Sit-down model
I was wondering if anyone has taken a HQ sixteen and used it as a sit-down machine? If so, does the stitch regulator still work, and do you have to use a foot pedal to operate the machine? thanks for the help!

Just guessing, since I don't have a Sweet 16, but the stitch regulator on most longarms is dependent on the encoders, which measure movement in each direction by sliding along the rails and communicate that motion to the regulator. A stitch regulator for a sit-down machine would have to operate differently.

My HQ16 started life as a sit down, but was converted to a frame when I bought it second hand. It's a work horse, wouldn't trade it for the world. But it doesn't have a stitch regulator, so I can't answer your question. Call HQ - they will know.

I think you can but you have to remove all attachments from machine and buy the petal and table for the sit down ,I ask HQ site and they told yes you can make it sit down ,that,s what I was thinking of doing to my HQ 16
