I was reading another forum and saw a post that there is an error in the instructions in BLOCK magazine for one pattern. I thought I would share it here.
Page 55 photo #1 says to square the pinwheel block to 11 3/4 but the written instructions on page 53 say to square to 12 3/4.
12 3/4 is the correct measurment.
And here is one more correction to a pattern:
On page 63 the written instructions (2 Layout) says the orientation with corners in the upper right and lower left. That way the charms will fall from the upper left corner of the quilt to the bottom right like the photo on page 60.
But if you position the blocks as shown in photo 4 the charms will fall diagonally from the upper right to the bottom left!

And I don't see any flowers. All the squares are plain.
I think it's great that we are finding these. It means we are really reading it with thought.

I still think the magazine is just wonderful. No doubt there will be better proof reading in the future. After all, this is the first issue. And it is way too easy to miss your own mistakes and very easy to catch other people's mistakes, lol. Ask me how I know, LOL!

I for one salute that group and Jennie for taking a giant leap into the publishing world. They are not a large publishing company with many proof readers assist them !!!!
Let's give them time to get the corrections out as I am sure Jennie and her group will.
So from me a giant YEAH!!!!!! for the magazine and the work that went into it !!!
Lighten up girls, and remember there was only one perfect person who ever walked this planet.
***** By the way I have just taken a block apart no less then three times to-day and there is nothing wrong with the pattern instructions......It's me LOL! LOL!

I got my copy on Friday of last week. Wouldn't you know the USPS bent the magazine through the spine, broke the spine and tore several of the pages. I trucked up to the PO today, book in hand, and spoke with the Postmaster. All he said was they should do better than that! I also called MSQC just to let them know of the problem. They were so nice and said they had a few calls about damaged books being delivered. I am just hoping and praying all my books are not delivered in this fashion!!

Add me to the list of members who cannot find the How Tos and Tutorials on the MissouriQuiltCo site. If they have taken this down recently, it would be impossible to find it.
