I use an 80%/20% cotton blend, and the quilt shop I bought it from recommended that if I pre-washed my fabric (which I do), then I should also pre-wash the batting (so I do).

I just toss mine in the dryer on a light setting to ease out some of the folds that may occur, otherwise I don't do anything to it

Same here. I also use the warm and white. I love the puckered look though. I have tossed mine in the dryer with a damp towel if it was awfully wrinkled and wouldn't hang out.

I wash in hot and dry in the dryer. Never a problem.
