Prices never seem to come down as fast as they go up or come down as far as the once were. Oh, how I wish this isn't true with the price of cotton and we all benefit big time.

Bit like our Aussie dollar, can be good and bad for it.

The drought in the southwest will probably influence price sometime in the future. If peanut butter and coffee prices go up because of the drought can cotton be far behind?

I hope it's not like the grocery store where if something goes up it never comes down.

The freight I pay for getting my fabric has just gone through the roof but someone told me the price of oil has dropped dramatically so the price of shipping should go down. Has anyone ever seen UPS or FEDEX lower their shipping fees? I have not seen that. I was told that it is the same with fabric manufacturers--once the price is up they are not going to lower the price. It sure would be nice if it were not that way--we can only hope.

I also hope it continues to drop and I hope the merchants who sell cotton fabric pass the savings on to their customers.

It's a hard thing for a small business owner to sail through this type pricing storm. I hope our LQS can stay solvent. I continue to shop at Hawthorn Threads, best service, products and pricing I can find.

I bet that they figure if people are willing to pay the high price, why should they lower it.

I agree w/ Amyjo!!! Use it for a while and let people "get back on their feet".
