I remember my grandmother and mother would incorporate color from regular
Crayons into their embroidery of pillow cases and table cloths. As I recall it involved using the iron at one point. If anyone can tell me about how this process works, I would like to use it on my quilt labels, made with iron on transfers on white or ivory cotton.

If you type CRAYON in the Search field (you can find Search at the top of the page) you'll find several threads that talk about crayon on fabric and the dos and donts.

Thank you.....This is the first time that I have posted to this site, have just browsed before. I got my question answered by many of you and can hardly wait to get to those labels. I think a quilt, using this method, just might be in the future. Again, Thanks to all

Hey 2Owoman, thanks! I was just browsing around and found this thread. I bought some fabric a few years back that's supposed to be colored and I'd forgotten how the woman said to do it so this will be GREAT!!!
