Crazy Quilt
I'd like to make a crazy quilt but I don't know how to quilt it after the top is done. I'd love to make the blocks using fancy stitches but I'm afraid they would not look very good after being quilted. Any ideas or experiences? Thanks!

Antique crazy quilts sometimes just had the fancy top and a backing. Some were tied or tacked together. You need to decide if you want to work in blocks and if so, you could do QAYG (quilt as you go) style.

Crazy quilts were not ( quilted). sometimes they were tied in corners between blocks, sometimes embellished one block at a time with backing. Tacking them to the backing can be done with or without batting just be sure to use a batting that allows plenty of space between ( tacks) often crazy quilts did not have batting- the embellishments add lots of weight and bulk to the top
