I want to make a christmas tree skirt but have not found a pettern for a quilted one - just felt and appliques. Anyone have any ideas?

erstan947, thanks for that link! I have a 9 degree ruler and was looking for additional uses other than the Spicy Spiral!

I made a Buggy Barn tree skirt. A lot of fun, and quick to do, I had the piece topped in one day.

You can see it on my blog: http://quiltingunderthemidnightsun.b...1_archive.html

The pattern for this is available free on-line at http://www.simplicity.com/t-free-qui...ree-Skirt.aspx

I used blue because my DH is red/green colour-blind and blue is his favourite colour. Combined with the sparkles in the fabric, it looks pretty under the tree.

I made a list of links on my personal website. There are too many for me to recopy here.... You might find one that you like. The ones on my site are all free. There are a bunch out there that are for sale as well ;) I have bought a few and have yet to make them lol
