Here's a whole quilt made from that block. I've had it bookmarked for a long time.
Sorry, get get picture up. From thread called A friends crown royal.

The 1st quilt is 6 1/2" squares and the 2nd one is 4 1/2" if that helps you. They were all cut from the small Crown bags.

I've seen some before. They make beautiful quilts. Try doing a search on this board. I believe I've seen some posted here.

I've only saved up a few, but they seem quite flimsy and almost like the fabric would ball after washing.

Yes, thanks for sharing! That is gorgeous.
I have found out that she has 85 bags. I don't know if they are all the same size or a combination of sizes.
How many does it take to make a lap size?

OK. I'm having a hard time posting here. I write it but it doesn't show up. ??
Thanks for the pics. Love them.
The lady has 85 bags. That sounds like plenty to make a lap top, doesn't it?

Yes somoquilter. you should have plenty. Just depends on what pattern you are using. You might draw your pattern out on paper and just count how many Crown's you need to have and then you'll know for sure. Just my opinion, but that's what I would do and have done many times.
