Hello everyone. I saw a tutorial using a curved quilting foot and fell in love with the idea. I have an Elna 3007 and am wondering if it is WORTH purchasing one and where especially in South Africa can i get one? If not here, happy to pay postage costs. Do you own one and how do you find the curved foot? Would love to hear your ideas and even see pictures of what you have created.

Sounds like the Curve Master foot. I bought one but have never used it. Search for Curve Master (think it is by Martelli) foot.

I have a Curve Master Foot, have used and it is great. It does take some practise but it works well. I have an Elna 720 Quilters Pro and it fits onto my machine perfectly. Great for Drunkards Path quilts. No use of pins, so its magic.

Amma, it is a foot that you attach to your machine and when you stitch a dutch churn, the top piece of material moves along the curve of the foot and the bottom piece which is straigh moves straight and the top curves pieces matches up to it. You do NOT HAVE TO PIN or anything else. Amazing. Hope i made myself clear

I have the curve master foot and found it to be a waste of money, I can do curve piecing just as well without one. Another extra quilting expense that really isn't needed. (my opinion)

I have not heard of the curve master foot and do have an Elna. Maybe someone can post a picture of it. Thanks.

I have the Curve Master foot and found that it worked well, but it does require some practice to get the hang of it. Mine came with a variety of adapters to fit different machines.

I mentioned that I have the foot but do not use it. I tried it out a couple of times and it worked OK, I just found that by using the same method but not using that foot but whatever foot you normally use on your machine it works the same way, you just hold up the top fabric as you sew the curve and if you wish use the tweezers to hold the ends as you get to the finish it works just as well.
