Thanks for the question because I had no idea what a D9P was either. Now we both know.

I too had never heard of a D9P until i read this this AM. I love it! Now I know what to do with some charms packs I bought 'just because'. Thanks!!! I like the idea of the PP heart blocks too. Very sweet. Betsydrew

At first glance, I noticed the pin wheely thing in the middle and thought, " I like that" only after looking at it a while longer did I see the swastikas. Ohhhh, thanks for the warning! This may be one to put some large appliques on. All that work -- I feel your pain.

Took me a second look to see that - I know they definatly have bad meaning now, but I have vintage Easter post cards that show the swastika as an element of the design. I was told there is some religious aspect to this. Unfortunitally I don't know what it is.....

re: the swastika layout

"The word swastika came from the Sanskrit word svastika, meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark made on persons and things to denote good luck. It is composed of su- meaning "good, well" and asti "to be" svasti thus means "well-being." The suffix -ka either forms a diminutive or intensifies the verbal meaning, and svastika might thus be translated literally as "that which is associated with well-being," corresponding to "lucky charm" or "thing that is auspicious."

In other words, the Nazi party corrupted a symbol of good will/good luck into a symbol of evil.
