day of horrors
Ever had the kind of day, you are not sure whether to throw your machine or the quilt you are working on out of a window? Thats the kind of day I am having. I had QAYG my blocks as I wanted circles, I then added borders and it has lain for a few weeks until I got a backing I liked. Paid a fortune for backing as I picked a batik. My front looks crumpled, my machine has thrown a fouple of wobblies and I'm feeling frazzled. I can't put it aside as a UFO as it would annoy me, so I'm having a break and will go back to it tomorrow. As Scarlett said, 'tomorrow is another day' .

Yes, I am sure all of us who have quilted for a long while have had days like that. I know I sure have and I just have to walk away for awhile. You will be able to finish it when you have had time to settle down a little and look at it with fresh eyes.

A good night's sleep does wonders. I have had times like that, and I know it's not any fun, but keep with it, and when it's finished you will have a great feeling of satisfaction.

Last year I made a quilt that seemed to be jinxed. It seemed like every time I started working on it I found something that needed to be ripped out and redone. I just couldn't get with the program on this one but after a couple of months of starting and stopping I finally finished it and it turned out to be the prettiest quilt I have ever made. Just hang in there and it will get better. May yours also turn out to be your best ever quilt.
