Well I don't know how to link to this thread, but I found one on this board (where else?!) with a site for printing free graph paper shapes...triangles, hexes and more...and you can custom-select the sizes. See below:

I don't have a pattern, but look at the links in post #'s 2 and 4 above. The pictures are really self explanatory...and a lovely twist on the regular GFG. You can print diamond paper templates by selecting Triangles from the graph paper link above and selecting the side measurement the same as a hexie side. (Hope this helps)
