Yep, got one of those right now as a matter of fact. One of these days I'll be motivated enought to figure it out ... but that day hasn't arrived yet.

If I have to take more than a few hours off I make notes what comes next and pin, with a safety pin onto the finished block. I have gotten very good at forgeting stuff.

I keep a steno pad in my sewing room with good intentions but very seldom write everything I should.
I'm good at making notes on small pieces of paper then can't remember what it was for...so, toss. LOL

I pin notes to cut pieces; I put cut pieces in zip locks; I keep a notebook. Since I only buy for projects, I go so far as upon washing/ironing, I label the various fabrics for the sections of the quilt...border(s); backing; block sections, etc. Sometimes I even have a hard time remembering from breakfast to lunch what I'm doing with things. Label, label, label. Make many notes. I'd be doomed otherwise.

I have done everything posted here. Another thing I have done is use fabric meant for one project on another and then run short on the first project. We are a sorry bunch aren't we? Of course, when we use the fabric for something else, it is no longer available and not found anywhere. I think that is Murphy's Law.
