I gave many quilty things to my 10 year old granddaughter. She has already made 2 award winning quilts. That was more fun than giving something quilty to myslef

I gifted myself 3 Craftsy classes at 50% off and got a Jo-Anns gift card from my enabler daughter who complains about too much fabric in my possession. I don't have any quilters in my immediate family that exchanges gifts...so for me, I prefer to buy my own.
Not really an answer to your question, but why would your enabler daughter complain that YOU have too much fabric? I don't understand it as unless you are having to stash it in her room and encroach on her space, what difference does it make to her how much fabric you have?

I gifted myself with a new sewing chair. Was tired of getting backaches. I absolutely love it.

My son buys me generous gift certificates at my LQS. It makes it easy for me to indulge my passion.

Santa always manages some quilt related purchases... Especially fabric at year end sale prices! Too much shopping for everyone else makes this Santa feel like a treat or two.

I took my hubby to a quilt store and let him "gift me" with the small rotary cutting mat that is on the turn table and them I gifted myself with a couple of templates. I too prefer to select my own gifts if it has to do with quilting.
