I like isewman's solution. I would go with a border (not white, however), then more twister blocks, then another border (maybe white). Since the original top is "scrappy" looking, I wouldn't worry about matching fabrics. I can visualize this in my head. Hope it comes across. I haven't made a twister yet - looks complicated. I don't like patterns that make you buy special rulers or tools to complete.

I LOVE your colors and your top. Whatever you decide to do, it will be wonderful when complete. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
