That's a big change for you - I hope all goes well. It must be good to see all your scraps being appreciated by your guild. Going through my bigger pieces of fabric, I found it much easier than expected to discard quite a lot of it - fashions and tastes change, and there was quite a lot that I just didn't like that much any more. The key for me was to pick out some pieces that DID still thrill me - then I knew the feeling I was looking for when deciding what to keep. I now have a much smaller stash, all fabrics I love, and I have the space to organise them properly and see them easily.

The end of this story - I contacted the local Project Linus rep and she was delighted - she's coming to take away the UFOs and several sacks of fabric and scraps that I decided no longer gave me any inspiration. I'm so pleased that it will all be put to good use.
