That you could cut into three inches. Though depending on the repeat. You may want to cut a bit bigger or smaller so you don't hit the repeat staight on. You don't want the repeat to be divisible by the cut. So if the repeat is say 12 inches. You would want to stay away from 2,3,4,6 inch cuts. Add or take away a 1/4 or more

ok there was something mentioned about the color code in the selvage, how far apart that code is is that the repeat. If so its 28 inches. I am so lost.

That is for sure a repeat. But a lot of times it has more than one repeat in there. If you show more of the length I will be able to help you find where you repeatis if you need help finding it

I think i got it figured out my repeat is about 12.5 inches from outside of flowers

Id do the mirror thing but the only mirrors i have are on the wall and DH would stroke out on me. Now mind you this is just practice for me...........by no means would I use this fabric for a quilt.....long story I called daughter at store and asked her to pick my up some fabric that had pretty flowers and I said small print, I was making a baby quilt............well this is what she brought back all 10 yrds of it. I have given away most of it.
