I always have Honey in the house for the grandkidlets. When the Honey Bear is empty I wash them and use them for discarded needles.
The hole is large enough to except all needles and pins. Good idea to put a clean Honey Bear container in a gift basket when making a gift for a stitcher, that way they always have a safe place for those unwanted needles.

I use an old film container or old prescription bottle and poke a small hole in the lid and glue it shut. I then put a piece of masking tape with bad needles written on it around the bottle . This keeps the needles from falling out when I take the lid on and off. These kind of containers are easy to keep in my tote bags or in a drawer by my sewing machine for those needles.

Thank you for asking this question. I'd just been wrapping them in tissue and tossing into the trash but I like using a prescription bottle or any bottle or tin to dispose of them. Thank you for ideas!
