Yes, and this practice deserves a good rant. Cut it off, and use the strip (minus the logo itself) in a strip quilting block. <G> This calls for a little bit of granny-guerilla warfare. Then, go one step further. Go to the website of the company and tell them you will not - and neither will anyone in your quilt guild or anyone within your reach - purchase their fabric in future, until they quit doing this. They can put their @#$% logo on the selvage, like everyone else does. That is a breach of contract, as far as I'm concerned, and you can refuse to pay for their advertising... that's all it is, advertising... by not purchasing their goods. Oh, and be sure to complain about it at the fabric shop where you purchased it. Better yet, take it back and tell them in a very loud voice (so everyone in the store can hear you) that you want your money back and why. - Guerilla Granny

If you could, would you cut it off and work around it? Or does it not really matter?

I don't like it and would not buy it or use it. If I am going to advertise for a company with something beautiful that I have made, they should pay me. I don't wear shirts with company advertising or tees with numbers of sports figures either. Just weird I guess.
