I usually wash all of my quilts and dry them in the dryer until they are almost dry, then I lay them out on the floor for about a week. That seems to square them up. I don't fuss about it at all.

But then, I only dust every two weeks, so I would be the wrong person to make commentary on someone who wanted to Martha Stewart it up.

This kind of reminds me of seeing my grandmother stretch her lace window curtain panels. She'd set this wooden oblong contraption up in the backyard and adjust it to the size of the panels. It had pins or tacks all around. Nana would attach the curtain panels to these pins on all four sides and go do her housework while her curtains dried beautifully in the sun. She could stack several panels, thereby drying several panels at the same time. After a while she'd bring them in the house and hang her beautiful curtains - no ironing.

Blocking your finished quilt.
I belong to an art quilt group and there are 6 of us. This past weekend we entered our "door" challenge in a local Quilt show put on by the Crazy Quilters here in Port St. Lucie, Fl. Everyone blocked their quilts except me. Their's hung beautiful and mine not so much. I will block mine before the next show.
Peace.......
