In 1985 DH and I had three wonderful weeks in Hawaii and I intended to bring oodles of fabric back with me. When I saw the prices I came back empty-handed I can't imagine what they must be now.........probably waaaaaay out of my price range!

My husband and I just returned from a vacation there. I only saw one fabric store near Waikiki (didn't stop) and of all the 100s of shops we went into only found one that actually had bolts of fabric. To me they were on the spendy side and had only a handful of bolts ($6-9/yd) but it was made in Hawaii. So, instead of oowwing and ahhhing over the fabric I just wiped out the camera phone and took a picture of the manufacturer's data. I shot them an email from my Blackberry and am waiting to hear back.

I look for it and did buy some. Yesterday I found Christmas fleece (going to use for a tie blanket-maybe) that was on sale for $1.50/yard! I also just bought some orange with gold in it for something for fall. Always looking ahead.

I do one because they are usually a bit on sale which is huge for me ($7 is much better than 10.99) and it gives me the opportunity to start for next year whenever I want.. I love Christmas who am I kidding. I do not need an excuse to work with Christmas fabric. I always feel good when I think of the holiday time and that is a good good thing. Hey what is up for next years Christmas prints? please say we get some traditional colors too in2010 not just bold colors and whacky lime greens.
