Do You Cut Your Quilt Pieces from Templates?
#23
i am all for strip piecing for any block that it can be done on. Cutting out each piece is too tedious for me, so shortcuts are my best friend! Obviously there are some patterns that you have to cut out pieces like the Wedding Ring or any with curved piecing. It just takes much longer :D

Why torture yourself? If you go that route, you may as well hand stitch the whole thing and make a grand total of 2 quilts in your lifetime.

Cavmom - how can you possibly quilt with those darling little eyes (avatar)looking at you and wanting to play! Absolutely adorable.
So far the only way I have learned to quilt is with a rotary cutter and mat - but then, I am still getting into the swing of it. :-)
