I have used grey a couple of times. I like it as a neutral with bright colors.

a smaller version of my space quilt

i have only ever bought 2 fat qtrs of grey... for the tools on an applique bib for my grandson...

that being said, i am looking for a grey batik to finish a black & white table runner for a friend of mine... her table is cherry & i think the grey shows better against the wood than the white & the black doesn't contrast at all...

Love gray with purples, pinks, creams, greens, blk, wh, red. Great for adding depth and shading. I also love gray and yellow

For 40 years, grey was the ONLY color I didn't have in my stash. A few years ago I was appliqueing a donkey and an elephant on an election quilt, and realized--no grey of any shade. I used a taupey tan for the donkey and the wrong side of a black for the elephant.

I recently bought some Kaffe Fassett fabrics that are grey--one is just grey with huge white polka dots.

Maybe grey is "the new black."

I might have two scraps of grey. Ick! Not my cup of tee in fabric or home decor or clothing.
