On some quilts, adding cording/piping with the binding really makes a difference. For instance, imagine this quilt without:

[ATTACH=CONFIG]407931[/ATTACH]

I use flange or piping all the time. I usually use it as a frame between the quilt and the bindings. Although I have used it with binding.
