I send my quilts out. I like the design aspect of quilting.

I feel the same way when it is done I can say it was all done by me and yes it is not as good as a professional quilter but the people who receive my quilts enjoy them more because they know they are from me.

I quilt my own. My 1st was hand quilted, just a lap size. I then quilted queen size on my domestic, a janome DC 3018 which really took some effort, I would definitely have to rest frequently because the weight of the quilt would pull on me. Now I have a Janome Horizon 7700 and I love love love it. I will say this that my little janome DC 3018 is a workhorse. Good luck with what ever you decide. Lap quilting is one way to go.

I've sent 2 out, all others I've done FMQ on my domestic Viking, I do like to FMQ, but would love a Sweet 16 sitdown rather than just my domestic. I've tried them out at quilt shows and want to say $OLD!

I quilt my own either on my home machine or on my friend's midarm. I want the whole quilt to be done by me. I just cannot justify paying someone else to finish my work.
