Oh, I struggle with this one! I've seen several cute things made with the selvages in the mags and on here. So now I'm saving some of them but I shouldn't. I save way too many scraps and threads. You know I might want to make a dog bed and donate to a shelter! But I probably never will. I actually did use a piece of the selvage on the label for my DGD's quilt. So that's one 5 inch piece. Now I need to go watch a Hoarder's show, always makes me get rid of something:)

So selvages are like the baling twine of the quilting world! Haha ... I use hay bale twine for all that stuff. Hmm, wonder if I could use selvages to fix the fence in the back pasture?

I started to save them after reading some of the threads on them. Now I am looking at them and asking myself if I really will use them. Probably not, guess they will go in the trash.

I have been saving them for a board member. Just don't have enough to send away yet....think I may be a fabric hoarder.

I have a small pail on top of a shelf that I throw mine in. when someone here asks for them, I send them off. How very green of me! :-)

I use them for tying things, mostly garbage bags. Like them better than twist ties.

Mine get tossed. Usually they are only as wide as the latest strip anyway.
