I have a large zip lock bag full of salvages and small scraps I thought someone on the quilt board might need them for a project, or a postage stamp quilt.

If the selvage includes the color dots and the name, I save and take to the LQS. If not, just like the trimmings from sergering, I just put them in a zip lock til early spring, then scatter them about for the birds to use as nesting material. What a delight it is to spot a nest with a splotch of bright blue or raspberry pink and imagine that I might have contributed to their home.

I am saving them to make "spiderweb" blocks for a quilt.. I even saw a shirtwaist dress that had been made out of them.. it was beautiful!! had a gorgeous full skirt..
