Same here. I always take my shoes off as soon as I walk in the door. Actually I do that in just about everyone's house since I'm so used to doing it in my own house.

That would be weird to sew with shoes on, how do you do that?

I know it's stupid, but I can not control my speed pedal with my shoes on. Plus, I have foot problems too, and have never had a comfortable pair of shoes.

Barefoot or socks, depending on weather.

I have one sort-of friend who prefers shoes to be worn inside her house. I never can quite relax there.

House shoes Eddie- are you like my spouse and have silky soft feet? According to him I have 20 grit sandpaper for feet. I hate shoes. I only wear them because I have to. (Just ask the girls at my office- they tell me to put my shoes on if someone is coming up the walkway)

(and I can't stand if someone touches them- I have very ticklish feet.)

I think you have more control with bare feet.
