I need to know what number you have set on your machine. The small control/wheel # under the case to where your thread is placed for threading. And the big number control/wheel behind the handle. 3 big control--4 1/2 small control. The reason I'm asking is. When ripping out 4-6 place on some material. I can pull on the piece of thread, and it pull's out with very very ease. It's seem there is no tension, but there is somewhat tension
The top and bottom threads look great for sewing. Don-isewman

I have the Babyloc Jane, a straight stitch only machine. My upper tension is between 2 and 4. Stitch length is about 2. Hope that is what you want to know.

Without knowing what model you have, it's hard to say. But if you can pull the thread out easily without snipping the stitches, I'd say you tension is way off. Let us know what make and model of machine you have so we can look it up online to see what controls you are referring to, please.
