Default I must be jinxed today!

I just plugged in my iron, that I haven't had 6 months, and it started popping and smoking! It burned up! I caught it in time to get it out of my sewing room. Now, on top of cutting the curtain fabric wrong, I don't have an iron to press my fabric to work on anything else!

Maybe today is not the day to be in the sewing room!

Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

Some days just aren't meant to be sewing days. I really think you got a pretty clear message.

Send it back to the manufacturer with a note, and your original receipt if you still have it. They may replace it. If you need a "quick" iron, try your local thrift store. They usually cost $5 and some look like they've never been used.

Sorry that your iron burned up. You're not the only one who is jinxed lately though.

Recently I was telling a few girls at work that I've never had to call in sick and use my PTO time, overslept or had a patient that didn't like me. There were family members who didn't like me, but never a patient! Apparently someone thought I was bragging. Within the last two weeks, I've (you've guessed it), overslept (was an hour late for work), got that intestinal bug (called in sick to work for 2 days) and on my first day back after that bug, ended up being assigned to a patient that couldn't stand me. Karma for bragging?
