    Don't know anything about the fabric. Wanted to say I love your avatar. Were those mitts made from a pattern and if so would you please share? My granddaughters would love them. Thanks. patti

    This is my favorite free knitting pattern site:

    If you look under Mittens and Gloves, they have a whole sub menu of fingerless patterns. I knit mine out of cotton, like the stuff you use for dish cloths. you can put the 100% Cotton mitts in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute, and they get toasty.
