nope. not weird. I had to zoom in to even notice that your poppy echo was a different color. I thought it was all the same. i like it!

It's really pretty - but the first thing I noticed was the color of the blue/navy/purple? thread for the micro-stippling.

I was wondering/thinking that maybe a darker shade or same shade of brown as the fabric ?

Wow!! No - that is not weird. Matter of fact I would put it in the fantastic category! I even think your choice of thread looks great as well.

thanks all ...

There is no "plan" yet for a finished product, I'm just testing out ideas to see what works.

Ideally, it will be a rectangular panel with a bunch of flowers, and I was trying to figure out if I do it in one contrasting colour or not. I have lots of variegated thread, so will definitely give that a whirl.

Not weird .... cool!!!! My only suggestion would be to separate the flowers from the surrounding leaves a little more.

No ideas about thread colors, but will be anxious to see what you come up with.

Well, I'm the outlier....I think the poppies and leaves are lovely BUT I prefer the simplicity of the outlines only, without the stippling. You asked for all opinions. I was wondering how it would look with, instead, a stippled frame around the design- perhaps inch+rectangle frame around all in the dark thread. That is just 'my' opinion. Again, it is very pretty.

Weird this is ! It is stunning!! The contrast in the thread is a obvious key in making this perfect. I would put this design on a quilt any day! Great work, well done.
