    Smile Donating Shoes

I know the title may not seem to pertain to quilting but as I was going through shoes and other items for donation, I was pulling the shoes to make sure I couldn't wear them. Some haven't been worn for years. I got ready to throw the boxes into the recycle bin. Then looked again and realized how much tissue paper was in the boxes and could be used for foundation piecing. I took the papers and smoothed them out then put into one of the shoe boxes and marked the box for foundation paper piecing. These papers are 10x13". Great for scrappies.

Smart thinking! You could also use the boxes (cardboard) for many things pertaining to quilting. Don't throw them out. The cardboard is thin, which is perfect!
