My mom was a professional seamstress and made custom drapes, bed spreads, and slip covers. We made many quilts, throws and doll cloths using the stacks and stacks of outdated sample books. sometimes it was mixed in with the quilting fabris sometimes it was just a mix of all those samples they made awesome camping, picnic and car quilts.

My understanding of the 100% cotton home dec fabrics being labled dry clean only is because they are never prewashed before making drapes, bed spreads ect......and will shrink and draw up if washed after.
