Not sure where you would find a pattern. I would grab a sheet of graph paper and graph it out. Maybe someone else can help you if you are not graph paper "friendly"! EQers maybe.

Thanks. I used your advise and drew it out this AM. Now deciding if. I want to use paper piecing or add a 1/4" to template.

Pictures are from a quilt at the Kutzstown Folk Festival in PA. Unable to get any info but good thought. I made a template and will give it a try.

Would it be easier or dumb to just make the Dresden and cut it out with the hex? Or am I thinking wrong?

If one used a 12 blade Dresden plate template, that would probably work - but I think it would waste more/some fabric doing it that way.
