Eleanor Burns has a dresden plate video where she uses her serger and other quick methods. Made a pillow for my Mom. Very easy, very pretty. Google "Quilt in a day".

I have made the quilt and usually don't make the same quilt twice. I have two different patterns. Write to me at my e-mail address and we can work out the particulars.
