dryer sheet quilts
#21
I found it in the sewing and crafts section on the same wall as the rotary cutting tools. I'll try to remember to look at the package tonight and post the name tomorrow.
If your store doesn't carry it, maybe you'd be able to order it online and have it delivered to your store for you.

I keep a close eye on the dryer's lint filter and periodically wash it as it can get coated with the chemicals that comes off those dryer sheets. This can cause your dryer to heat up and then become dangerous. Also check the dryer's vent hose from time to time as it can also have build up. Used dryer sheets can also be used to clean off TV screens to reduce some of the dust collecting static.

If you take your empty lint filter to the sink, fill it with water often you will watch the water barely trickle out, even when it looks like it's clean...it means the screens are clogged with those chemicals. Soak in dish soap and lightly scrub with a brush. Then try filling it back up again  A clean filter allows for better air flow, good to keep a dryer fire at bay, also good because you will use less power and cut down the drying time to dry your clothes :D:D:D

Many art quilters use used dryer sheets and/or used color catchers in their pieces. Color catchers dye, paint and print like fabric but rip like paper. Dryer sheets dye, paint and print beautifully and the result is quite luminous due to the web-like texture. You can also sun print on them. Both stitch easily and can be collaged with some great looking results.
