Me too! Often it's using a tip I found on this board!

Am totally there with you on this......after years of quilting on and off I have really gotten into it since joining this board a couple of months ago.
Due to all the all comments, pictures, andsupport this board gives....I tried my hand at rree machine quilting on my last quilt...just stippling... and the bottom tension was unpicked a couple of times but I perseverd and I have had another go on a cot quilt I have just done....stippling and random flower design this time ....and I'm loving it....can't wait to make my next one just to FMQ....

I sometime do the Challenges and deliberately select a technique I am not familiar with as a learning experience.

I also volunteer as helper in classes at quilt shows/conventions and try to get selected for a teacher/class who is teaching an unfamiliar technique.

Yes, I agree. What used to be a challenge, now I do without thinking! New challenges arise though :)
Yep, it is all good!

Yes, I agree. I pick quilts that have something new or have a more difficult technique. Of course, if I just want to have fun I go back to my "Turning Twenty" or "Yellow Brick Road".

I think this is part of what makes quilting fun. We learn and grow. Best of all we meet new friends.

It's usually fun to be learning new things with every project. I'm there! I really like the aspect of quilting that every one is at least a little different! I have fun working with colors, fabrics, and line textures!
