Cool EQ7 -I finally bought it!!

OK, first of all, I have to say that this board is definitely enabling my quilting addiction. And I really didn't need any help making it worse. But I love you all anyway, because I know I'm in good company here!!

Anyway, a week or so ago, someone posted about should they or shouldn't they buy EQ? Well, I read all the comments, and then found the link to someone's instructions - I think her name is Robin. Let me say this - the person that did this tutorial needs to publish it!! The directions are terrific!! As a technology professional, I was a little disgruntled that there wasn't more "right click" intuitiveness to EQ, but Robin's tutorial definitely got me started quite well.

I just got EQ two days ago - and I'm still pretty much stuck on Robin's chapter 2, because I'm having SO much fun with it!! Perhaps I will be able to stave off some of my fabric addiction by playing with "virtual fabric" in EQ, making "virtual quilts", LOL!!

Thank you to this board for all your thoughts, comments, ideas and so on.
And a HUGE thank you to Robin for posting the tutorial - without it, I might would have sent EQ7 back to QIAD.

nice to read. Have fun with your new toy. You'll find lots of ways to use it and all kind of quilt patterns to make once you create your own patterns! Now, i have to find Robin's tutorial. loll

    Here's the link (I hope).

And my apologies - the author's name is Rhonda, not Robin.
And, as I said before, you should really publish this!!

The nice thing about EQ is that you can play with your own fabric when using it. Chapter 9 in the manual explains how you can scan and import your own fabric images into the program.

    Have fun!

Be sure to go online and register your program. There is also a sections on EQ website where you can download monthly fabrics to keep your library of fabrics up to date with the newest fabrics from manufacturers. Have FUN !!

Thank you! I knew about Rhonda's very useful tutorial. I was just curious about Robin's to see if I had missed something about EQ7. I bought it 2 years ago and still learning. There's so much to that program.

I recently bookmarked that thread too - I haven't had time to go through any of the lessons yet but I intend to! Glad to hear they're so wonderful, I could use the help.
