EQ7- technical advice
Hello and merry Christmas everyone!!
I have been a very lucky girl to receive EQ7 for Christmas, but unfortunately it wont install. Now I am kinda techy, love my computers etc but I keep getting the same error message the the Defaul~1.cab file is corrupt I cant see how it would be on USB but hey ho. Anyone got any ideas?

What software are you running???? It might be your virus protection. You might want to check that option on their website:

I googled and it looks to me as if this is not easy but rather your operating system software. You may need to get help from Microsoft assuming that is your system's software. Google the error to see if the info online matches what you are experiencing.

googled the error and it doesnt seem to be common :S I am running Windows 7 because I refuse to upgrade and I have disabled all antivirus and firewalls...
Calling might be a bit expensive as I am in the UK

Hate to say it, might be your operating system. I'm still running Windows 7 as well (for the same dinosaur reasons you are). I have EQ5 and it was glitchy to re-install on that OS and still is when I use it. Hopefully the folks at EQ are able to help you.
