Make your reservations SOON or you may not have a place to stay. Bend is a good location, not too far from Sisters, and there are quilt shops there as well. Take comfortable shoes!!

I drive up early in the morning from Albany. Early morning is best because it's still cool, the crowds are not thick, parking is easy, and you can stay as long as you want. The show officially starts at 9 am, but most of the quilts are up well before then and you can wander around and watch them put up the rest of them. (And that can be entertaining too.) I didn't get to go last year, so I'm really looking forward to it this year. Have fun! Usually some of the people from the board try to meet up sometime during the day, and I hope that will happen again this year. I don't know about places to stay, since I live close enough to make it a day trip. There are some excellent classes given the week before the show, and I'd love to take some one of these years. I think I enjoy Sisters more than any other quilt show.

I used to live in Bend, there are a couple of great Quilt Shops there. For me the Quilt Show in Sisters is an "all dayer" be sure to wear your walking shoes and take a camera. Have fun!!

Yes, it certainly gets hot...over 100*F some times at the heat of the day. The last time we went, everything in Sisters and Bend was full, and we ended up out in Redmond. If you don't come early, you will end up on the hwy sitting like you're in a parking lot. We only did that once.... smartened up really fast. ENJOY! It's a fantastic experience.
