A trip to NYC I wasn't planning on (Picture heavy)

In a big effort to simplify my life I decided to give away two of my turtles. The ones that are growing too fast and making me clean their tank too often. I have to be honest to myself, they don't have room. I found this guy willing to take them, on Craigslist. I didn't want to invite him over to my place, so we decided to meet at Penn Station, because he was on his way to Long Island. My brave Emi went with me in case ...I don't know, He just came along. The guy was very nice. He took the turtle and went his way. We were right under Macy's and all the beautifully decorated windows, so out to the street we went, again. This time he was too occupied in the train to talk. It was packed and both ways he was entertained either by 3 Mexicans guys singing and dancing, a guy singing like Michael Jackson and a young kid reading his poetry. There was a man with an open box of Kleenex, offering them to everyone.
We went out and went to see the windows of Macy's. He walked down the street to Times Square. It is amazing how in 4 days the Thanksgiving feeling in the air is gone and all of a sudden it feels like Christmas. Tons of street performers, lights and just plain old fun. We walked to Rockefeller Center to take a picture of the tree prior to the lighting ceremony on Tuesday. We will go back then to take the After pictures. On our way there we had to enter Magnolia's for a cupcake. They are just AMAZING!! Red Velvet is my favorite. We saw the tree and tried to see the skaters but it was hard. The preparations for Tuesday are such that everything is covered by cameras, tents, lights and people everywhere.
We went on our way to Columbus Circle to take the train back home and Emi was delighted by the Horse carriages and Limos everywhere. There was one so long he said that the driver gets there 30 minutes before the passengers. My batteries died, so no more pictures. He is now too tired to move...again. My favorite part was across from Radio City where the Rockets were signing autograph and doing promotion for the show and Emi was speechless. Their legs are so long.!!!
One of the pictures, the one with the Christmas Lights, was taken by a NYC Police officer. He asked if we wanted one picture the two of us, and it was so nice of him to offer that I couldn't say no. I never take my picture, but I couldn't pass.
