I love the magazines, Keepsake Quilting, Connecting Threads, Nancy's Notions (just to name a few of my favs). They all have quilting supplies and have discounts too. Also, equilter (online) will sometimes ship for free and so will some of the magazines. One other tidbit, look in the back of your quilt magazines and sometimes they will have catalogs that you can sign up for or request for quilting supplies. There are lots of things out there. One more...sign up for coupons for Joanns, they will soften the wallet for discounts. Hancock (online) is another wonderful online store...i could go on and on...i think this should hold you for a while. Have fun shopping.

I am afraid to start shopping for fabric on line....I would end up buying everything...I have a hard enough time now to not buy too much...de-stashing today my closet is getting to cluttered. I have a friend that is making blankets to donate. Great reason/excuse for me to get rid of some fabric that I know I will not use and is just plain ugly...what was I thinking...

I try to go to LQS. We have already had one close and then another just last month. I really try to support them. There is nothing like running into a store and seeing thousands of quality fabric and smiling faces that help you with any of your needs.

I shop online and in LQS (which in my case aren't so local). If I am looking for a specific fabric I go online because it is easier than driving for an hour one way only to discover the QS doesn't have the fabric. If we're driving to a particular area, I always make sure I know where the nearest QS is so I can check them out and of course buy some fabric etc.

You can also find a lot of nice fabric on here. I know I have. And I've offered stuff from my stash as well. Scroll down and check them out or just go to the home page and click on the Classified section. It's better than the home shopping network.

I agree...and the more that go out of business the higher the prices will go in others. I am buying more and more fabric from the LQS but rulers, threads, Batting and other notions form Joannes
