try using slivers of bar soap for marking - always comes out in the wash.

The Pounce is good if used correctly. I met the person who designed it at a quilt show. Before first use be sure and pound it hard for at least 100 times. He literally slammed it down as hard as he could. That's why it's called Pounce. You don't pounce it on the stencil though. The Pounce slides across the stencil. I like the iron off chalk that comes with it.

Sliver of soap is my go to for dark fabrics.

In a spray bottle, combine white vinegar, one tablespoon of dish soap, and cold water in equal parts. Spray the remedy on the problem region, then wait five to ten minutes before cleaning. Until the marker is gone, blot the area with a fresh cloth. To remove the solution, rinse the stain with cold water.
