to QUIT buying fabric is harder than to quit smoking!
I am really going to try...but with so many shops closing, it is going to be hard!

I was in last year's Moritorium and did quite well. I purchased batting twice and fabric for a friend once, and some from a fellow board member to complete a quilt(which still isn't finished) once. Even though my stash took a terrible hit last year, I am joining again, because I still have alot of stash. I will have to buy batting and thread at some point, but otherwise will try to honour the Moritorium. Good Luck Everyone.

I was already thinking along these lines anyway as my sewing room is going to explode if I don't do something about it soon. I have 1 top almost assembled already since Christmas just using up "stash" stuff. Not sure what I will do with the quilt but it looks better in quilt form than fabric. I can't wait to hear how everyone does.

I so want to join in on this... but I'm afraid that I am still in the honeymoon stages of quilting... Only been doing this about a year.... and even though I have inherited so much fabric from my MIL and friends, I don't want to give up roaming the quilt shops yet. SO - here is what I can do... I will organize my stash into a way more usable state - and I will use some stash fabric for every single piece I make in 2012. Maybe even all of my backs...

I, too, am in. I have already finished two quilts this year!! woo hoo. They were done on the 31st except for binding. One was from my scrap bin (the front) with a pieced backing, all from my stash. The other is a Halloween quilt, all from the stash. Now, I'm working on finishing a top that is a UFO, a top that I"ve appliqued all the blocks and it needed me to dye a piece for the sashing (done yesterday), and a kit (who knows when/where it was acquired???) that is also a UFO. Then, maybe, I can make something new? but from the stash. Then, back to the UFO's.
