I think this was one of the most unbelievable and 'best' marketing schemes of all time! Most paints can be fabric paint with the addition of textile medium! You do not have to run out and buy an entire new line of paints. If you have the little bottles of acrylic paint, just buy a small bottle of the textile medium and add it 50/50. It will not dilute the paint or it's color. It makes the paint flexible and able to be heat set. If you want a dimensional or some other weird addition, yes, you need to purchase those because of the extra additives. But, for regular fabric paint, just buy one little bottle of textile medium for under $3 and make all your paints fabric paint. BTW - another advantage is that you can use it on a poly fabric. Most dyes will not work evenly or easily on poly fabric, you will need to buy the specific poly dye.

I use several kinds of paints and mostly use brushes. The pins are great for small fine line areas. I use a lot of acrylics so I keep the textile medium for when I want to use it on fabric.
